The Club's 25th Anniversary was celebrated in 1966 with 47 members in attendance. Many distinguished guests were on hand, including District Governor Lewis Winship, International Director Robert Uplinger, Past International Director Claude DeVorss, Village of Wilson Mayor Robert Horton and Town of Wilson Supervisor Walter Evans.
The Wilson Lions Club meet on the first and third Monday of each month, September thru June, at the Wilson House Inn. After dinner, we have a guest speaker or occasionally a road trip!
The Stamp Art Project
The Lions Club of Wilson, NY would like to help other clubs promote their club and raise funds at the same time. It is so simple - we create a product designed especially and uniquely for your own Lions club - a quality art print featuring an image of your choice - which can be purchased and displayed with pride by memebers and supports of your club. The prints are published as a limitied edition, numbered and certificated, then handsomely framed. Printed on art canvas and protected by a fade-reistant coating for long life, they constitute a highly desirable, collectible item which your members and supporters will be eager to own.
The Wilson Lions chose a limited edition of 100 prints. The print features our own Wilson Lions Pin, the Town of Wilson Seal and, with the approval of the US Postal Service, we have reproduced the stamp that was issued in 1967 to mark the 50th Anniversary of Lions International. There is an actual mint stamp attached to the print.
